For more than a century, the brand Concha y Toro has announced that one of its most popular labels in Brazil, Casillero del Diablo, has as part of its history a legend involving a producer, a special reserve of bottles and a mythical creature — the devil in “person”.
After some thefts in his cellar, a Chilean (and founder of Concha y Toro) would have spread around the small town where he lived that the cramullion lived in his house. The problem is said to have ceased almost immediately.
This narrative now leads to an event that the Chilean winery promotes in São Paulo on Saturday (24) and Sunday (25). The Casillero Experience is defined by the organizers as an “immersion in the world of wine and the legend of the brand”.
In the program, the visitor will have access to a wine pairing with cheese, bruschetta and charcuterie led by sommelière Andreia Berthault. All framed by the story of 130 years ago.
Brazil is the country with the highest number of visitors to the Concha y Toro Winery in Chile, according to Pietro Capuzzi, trade and marketing director for the brand. To please the producer’s lovers, a pop-up store, Descorcha Corner, will sell promotional products from Concha y Toro, in addition to the entire Casillero del Diablo line.
Also part of the program are concerts by singer Rael and the jazz band Black Albino, as well as a lecture by actor Douglas Silva.
