The developments in Kavala after the arrest of a 25-year-old man, who confessed to the brutal murder of the 52-year-old man that took place on September 16 in Chrysoupoli, have been dramatic.
The police may have solved the mystery of the murder with the arrest of the perpetrator, however, since early in the morning, the parents and the partner of the 25-year-old have passed the threshold of the police station, in order to give a statement, in order to establish whether they knew about the cold murder.
According to information, they deny any involvement in the murder, while in their testimony they claim that they knew nothing.
According to police sources, as a motive, the perpetrator proposed the argument that the 52-year-old had bullied him in the past and that he was responsible for his dismissal from the marble factory.
In fact, he allegedly confessed that the carbine was not his, but his brother’s, which he had borrowed.
According to the same sources, a key role in solving the murder was played by the cameras that recorded the perpetrator, when he was going to set up a cartel on the victim, but also when he left.
