The doctors at Kalamata Hospital they judged that the child had to be intubated and leave immediately for Attica Hospital, as was done. At the same time, they notified the police as they discovered that the child was suffering from shaking syndrome and brought bruises in his body.
The 20-year-old father of the child, a citizen of Albania, traveled with the infant to Athens, but shortly afterwards he was arrested by the authorities.
He is currently being held at the Messinia Police Department, as a case has been filed against him for domestic violence and tomorrow morning he is expected to be brought before the public prosecutor’s office of Kyparissia.
