Elias Mosialos, Professor of Health Policy and Management at the Imperial College London Medical School, was awarded an honorary doctorate by the Department of Medicine of the School of Health Sciences of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (EKPA), according to a relevant announcement.
The ceremony was attended by the Deputy Minister of Health and professor of EKPA Mina Gaga as well as the former Deputy Prime Minister, Professor Evangelos Venizelos.
The address was made by the rector of EKPA, Professor Meletio-Athanasios Dimopoulos.
The speech of the honored professor Elias Mosialos was entitled: “The health system after the pandemic”. Mr. Mosialos said in his speech that “the pandemic highlighted the limits and inadequacies of the social protection system and the health system.” Then Mr. Mosialos developed the interventions that should support the restructuring of the NSS.
