The successful collaboration between the Municipality of Athens and the Panhellenic Gymnastics Association continues for the second year
A rich network of sports programs will be enjoyed for one more year by hundreds of citizens of Athens, in the context of the cooperation of the Municipality of Athens with the historic Panhellenic Gymnastic Association. This is a collaboration that started last year, enabling more than 1,200 Athenians of various ages to exercise for free in the modern and safe facilities of the Association, in the Areos Field.
This year’s sports programs have started and those interested can choose between nine different sports activities, which include: Fitness for citizens, special fitness programs for senior citizens, swimming lessons, pilates lessons, yoga, martial arts/self-defense, free running, dance lessons and table tennis (ping-pong).
All programs take place from Monday to Saturday – during the morning hours – and are aimed exclusively at adult citizens of Athens.
Registrations are made at the Association’s offices in Kypseli, from Monday to Friday, from 08.00 to 14.00, as well as on the electronic services platform of the Municipality of Athens, at the link: https://eservices.cityofathens.gr. By using the taxisnet codes, those interested will be able to quickly and easily submit the application for their participation in the sports programs of the Panhellenic Association.
Steps to apply:
- In the category “General applications”, selection of the application “Participation in the programs of the Panhellenic Association”

In order to avoid overcrowding, citizens have the possibility to book their appointment through the digital platform of the Municipality: https://rantevou.cityofathens.gr. “Sport not only promotes physical health and strength, but also the mental clarity of people. Especially in this difficult time, when stress has entered our daily lives for good, it is more important than ever to find new, creative ways to unwind. Our collaboration with the Panhellenic Gymnastic Association for the second year ensures that every Athenian will once again be able to exercise for free in modern and safe sports facilities, improving their physical and mental health“, says the Mayor of Athens, Kostas Bakoyannis.
