During scheduled inspections, the General Chemistry (of AADE) sampled an alcoholic beverage of the “vodka” category with the trade name “PARLIAMENT”, alcoholic strength 40% vol., accompanied by the indication “Purified with Milk”, in prepackaged 0.7L.
The product in question is manufactured in Russia and made available to the Greek market by the company “Food and Drinks Import – S. Lazopoulos & Co. E.E.”. During the inspection, it was found that while the foreign language labeling of the drink in question mentions the presence of an allergenic ingredient (milk), the Greek labeling does not bear the relevant indication.
The AADE, having as its priority the safeguarding of public health, requested, through its competent address, from the company that trades the product in Greece, the immediate withdrawal of the entire quantity traded from the domestic market, while the relevant checks are already underway and the relevant sanctions will be imposed.
AADE calls on consumers, who are allergic to milk and have already purchased the above product (photo attached), not to consume it.
