Last night, the life of an eight-month-old boy in Amaliada was endangered by a ball, which, while playing, he put in his mouth, as a result of which he could not breathe.

Thanks to the reaction of his mother and then the doctors and staff of the Amaliada Hospital, the child was saved.

He was later transferred to Pyrgos Hospital for tests and treatment.

It was a little after 7:30 in the afternoon, when in the neighborhood of the family, the mother was heard calling for help in fear, holding the child in her arms on the street.

There, there was great confusion, since no one understood what had happened.

According to information from the “Patris” newspaper, a neighbor took them to the Amaliada Hospital and immediately the pediatrician who was at the hospital, Ms. Gabi Feketea, and the staff of the Nursing Unit, started the effort to remove the ball from the child’s mouth and indeed the as soon as possible so that he can breathe and regain consciousness.

After they succeeded and removed the ball from the child’s mouth, the effort continued to fully regain his senses, while according to information, there was the possibility of intubation, which was ultimately avoided.

Finally, the child managed to recover and was taken to the Pyrgos Hospital by EKAV ambulance, accompanied by a patrol car and vehicles of the DIAS Team.
