Garage owner arrested – He was selling stolen car parts

A 26-year-old citizen was arrested as part of the spontaneous procedure, in the morning hours of Monday (28/9) in Ano Glyfada, by police officers of the Southeast Attica Security Sub-Directorate of the Attica Security Directorate, for accepting and disposing of proceeds of crime.

In particular, in the context of investigating information regarding the owner of a workshop that trades car parts-parts of a certain brand, which come from stolen cars, a special police team was established to locate him and stop the criminal activity in question.

In an investigation carried out at the workshop in question, -3- car engine control units were found, which, as it was ascertained after a special technical check, had been detached from cars that had been stolen in the areas of Glyfada, Kallithea and Kropias.

Also, an additional engine control unit was seized, the legality of its possession is being investigated.

The arrested person was taken to the Criminal Prosecutor of Athens.
