Three more couples have been identified – so far – from the memory cards of the cameras seized from the rental rooms of the accommodation in Aphyto of Halkidiki.

From the investigations of the Halkidiki Police Directorate, which have now taken over the case, three more couples were identified who are depicted on the cameras. The authorities have confiscated more than four cameras and the control is still not completed, which does not rule out that other couples who were monitored through the cameras could be identified. These individuals are expected to be called to testify. Due to the low lighting that existed at the time of the recording, it has not been confirmed if the cameras were from the same room.

Most, four pairs have been identified how they are portrayed on the cameras, with the first being the couple from Thessaloniki who also made the complaint to the AT Pavlou Mela in the previous days. It is recalled that the girl from the first couple was an employee of the restaurant owned by the owner of the rooms.

The Police is trying to identify through the bookings the names of the people who lived in the rooms so that they can be called in case it turns out that they are depicted in the videos.

Police sources note to Voria.gr that other couples who stayed at the accommodation this summer are calling the authorities asking to know if they are being photographed. It has not yet been established how many rooms had cameras installed, as it is possible that upon hearing the complaint, the owner removed the footage from the rooms.

The couple will seek compensation from the alleged perpetrator

However, the couple who fell victim to the recording of a hidden camera in the room in the Afitos area is expected to request compensation.

The couple’s lawyer, Panagiotis Georgiadis, speaking to Voria.gr, pointed out that the young people will declare a show of support for the accusation, while they are expected to request compensation from the alleged molester for insulting his personality and their personal lives. “At the moment, a preliminary investigation is being conducted by the police to determine whether the material collected by the owner and the couple has been leaked to pornographic websites or other sites and whether there was a transaction or any consideration for the material in question,” Mr. Georgiadis.

In these cases, the lawyer explains, the charge against the perpetrator also changes. “It must be identified if the breach of personal data was for own use or if it was transmitted to other sites or to third parties,” he emphasizes.

At the same time, the lawyer, in fact, said that the couple did not stay in the room after financial facilitation from the owner, but after a lot of pressure from him. He added that the couple has been very stressed by the situation.

Information indicates that the owner has closed the restaurant he owned since the day before yesterday afternoon, while all the staff have also resigned. In fact, he removed the signs from the rental rooms, which remain sealed.
