Service and Board of Directors: Extended until 31 December

The validity of the Service and Administrative Councils as well as the time of the elections for a number of legal entities is extended until December 31, 2021, with an amendment submitted by the Minister of Interior, Makis Voridis, to a bill of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure.

This new extension due to the pandemic concerns the term of office of the elected members of the service boards, the boards of directors and the other statutory bodies of the cultural, sports, charitable and other associations and clubs, as well as the Boards and Disciplinary Boards, the Audit Committees and representatives of the local Dental Associations of the country in the Hellenic Dental Federation.

The extension also applies to the electronic remote conduct of meetings and appointments of the administrative bodies of the trade unions of employees, retirees and employers. In addition, the amendment concerns the convening of the General Assembly of civil cooperatives as well as the term of office of the administrative and supervisory boards of civil cooperatives. Mr. Voridis clarified that this is the last extension that is going to be given.

At the same time, the term of office of the elected representatives of the employees in the service and disciplinary councils of the Code of Status of Public Political Administrative Employees and Employees of N.P.D.D. and the Code of Municipal and Community Employees who have been elected or are elected after 31.12.2020 expires on 31.12.2022, regardless of the date of their election.

Finally, the regulations for the development of table seats in public areas by health stores are extended until December 31, 2021 and the provision for the use of new technologies for the convening and holding of meetings and appointments of collective bodies and legal entities remains in force.
