By 2025, more than 20,000 civil servants will be trained in digital skills (skilling, upskilling, reskilling) through Microsoft’s GR for Growth initiative.
The strengthening of the digital skills of the human resources is a basic precondition for the faster digital transformation of the country, as the continuous training and absorption of new knowledge is necessary in every work environment. In this context, the Ministry of Digital Governance has set as a priority the investment and promotion of digital skills for all citizens through a series of initiatives and actions in cooperation with other ministries and agencies.
As part of the National Coalition for Digital Skills and Employment (National Coalition), the Ministry of Digital Governance, the Ministry of Interior and the National Center for Public Administration and Local Government are organizing a series of training programs aimed at Public Sector executives.
The first phase of training for public sector IT executives in Microsoft cloud services such as: 1) Azure Fundamentals, 2) Azure Administrator, 3) Azure Solutions Architect Expert, 4) Azure Solutions Architect Expert, 5) Azure Security started yesterday, Wednesday Technologies, 6) Azure Data Fundamentals, 7) Azure Data Scientist Associate, 8) Azure Data Engineer Associate, 9) Azure Database Administrator Associate, 10) Azure AI Fundamentals, 11) Azure AI Engineer Associate, 12) Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals, 13) Security Operations Associate Analyst, 14) Identity and Access Administrator Associate, 15) Information Protection Administrator Associate and 16) Power Platform Fundamentals.
The educational programs are interactive, as in parallel with the constant presence and guidance of the speakers, they also include practical workshops (online labs). Participation in the programs and the possibility of obtaining the corresponding certification is free and the training is conducted in Greek and English. The first phase of the program, which includes 3,000 civil servants, will be completed in June 2022. The actions take place in the framework of the National Alliance for Digital Skills and Employment.
