Heating allowance: Everything beneficiaries need to know – Detailed examples

The beginning of the distribution of heating oil begins on Friday, October 14, and the heating allowance this year will be 350 euros, as tax technician Athanasia Stolakis told ERT.

For new beneficiaries, the allowance is doubled and reaches 700 euros, he said.
New beneficiaries are those who apply for oil consumption for the first time this year. There will be a 20% increase for each child, he added.

Applications will be made through the AADE “myHeating” application, which is expected to open in mid-November and accept applications until the end of December, he clarified.
The amounts to the beneficiaries will be paid by the ministry to the beneficiaries before Christmas, he assured. The allowance varies depending on the place of residence:

• In Athens, a single person will receive 150.5 euros, a family with one child 180.6 euros, a family with 2 children 210.7 euros.
• In Piraeus, a single person will receive 115.5 euros, a family with one child 138.6 euros, a family with two children 161.7 euros.
• In Tripoli, a single person will receive 297.5 euros, a family with one child 357 euros, a family with two children 416.5 euros.
• In Thessaloniki, a single person will receive 248 euros, a family with one child 297.6 euros, a family with two children 397.4 euros.
• In Kozani, a single person will receive 392 euros, a family with one child 470 euros, a family with two children 548 euros.
