Traffic arrangements in Marathon

Traffic arrangements will be made on Sunday (16/10) on the road network of the Municipality of Marathon due to the running of the road race under the name “7th Half Marathon Marathon”.

In particular, there will be a temporary, gradual and complete stoppage of vehicle traffic as follows:

– Marathonos Street, in the section between the starting point of the Marathon route and the intersection of Marathonos and Dionysos Streets, in the traffic flow towards Athens, during the hours 08.00΄- 10.30΄.

– The traffic from the city of Marathon to Athens will be conducted through Dimokratis-Artemidos-Feidippidou streets where the vertical passage of vehicles will also be allowed.

-L. Marathon, in the section between Dionysos Avenue and Aeroporias Street (Zouberi traffic lights), in the traffic flow towards Athens, during the hours 10.00 – 11.00.

– Traffic from the city of Marathon to Athens will be conducted via Dionysos Avenue.

-L. Marathon, in the section between Aeroporias Street and Dionysos Street, in the direction of Marathon, during the hours 10.30 – 11.30.

-Traffic towards Marathon will be conducted as follows: right onto Aeroporias Street and then left onto Posidonos Street (N. Makris beach).

-L. Marathon, in the section between Phidippidou and Marathonomacho streets (TYMBOS), in the traffic flow towards the city of Marathon, during the hours 09.30 – 10.30.

Traffic to the city center of Marathon will be conducted via Phidippidou and Artemis streets.

-Odos Marathonomahon, along its entire length in both (2) traffic streams (entrance, exit, peripheral road of the Tomb of Marathon), during the hours 09.30 – 11.30.

– Traffic to and from Marathon will be conducted via Phidippidou and Artemis streets.

-L. Marathon, in the section between Kato Souliou Street and the starting point of the Marathon route, in the traffic flow towards Marathon, during the hours 08.00 – 13.30.

-Traffic will be conducted via Dimokratis Street.
