The mother of the 12-year-old girl and two other arrested persons apologized to the investigator

The mother of the 12-year-old girl from Colonos will appear after noon in front of the Investigator, denying the serious accusation attributed to her by the judicial authorities, that she had prostituted her child.

The 37-year-old woman is called today to answer what is alleged in the indictment drawn up against her, last Wednesday, by the 33rd Regular Investigator who issued an arrest warrant against her for the crime of aggravated pimping.

The accusation that the child’s mother “shares” with her already temporarily detained former employer, Ilias Michos, concerns specific elements that, according to the case file, place her on the side of those who sexually exploited the little girl.

Details related to small sums of money that she seems to have received in her account which, according to one of her advocates, Apostolos Lytras, were not transferred by her co-accused for pimping, but by other persons. It also seems that one of the elements that brings her face to face with the court officer is the activation of the girl’s fake profile on a dating site, from the home’s WiFi. This element, according to the case file, makes the 37-year-old mother suspect as a co-manager of the disputed account created by Ilias Michos.

The position of the accused is vertical, that she never did anything to the detriment of the child and that when she was informed by a relative about what was happening with Ilias Michos, they made her furious. In support of her claim, the woman cites text messages she appears to have sent him, in which she appears enraged and threatens to “eat his throat”.

The 53-year-old himself, a few hours before the warrant was issued for the mother, apologizing before the Investigator for rape and pimping at the expense of the 12-year-old, allegedly put the 37-year-old in the frame of pimping, saying that he believes that “the mother knew”.

According to Ilias Michos, who only accepted that he had “meeted” with the child, the 12-year-old had told him that before him “she had also been with other men”. The advocate of 37-year-old Aspasia Tarahopoulou stated that what Elias Michos claimed to Anakritria essentially proves that the girl’s mother knew nothing.

The defense of the child’s mother insists that there is no incriminating evidence against her and that what made her an accused is not important and in any case there are explanations that will be presented before the judicial officer. Especially regarding the amounts found in the mother’s account, Mr. Lytras has stated that “the 12-year-old girl has given an explanation of how the procedure was done, that she took the mother’s IVAN and had the card in her possession, which she gave to Micho. That’s what the little girl said.”

The other two arrested on warrants, 33 and 36 years old, who are accused of sexual intercourse with a minor for pay, will be brought before the Investigator today. One of them allegedly deposited money into the mother’s account and contacted the child via Viber. The second seems to have been a “client” of Mihos. Also, the 34-year-old man, who was arrested on Sunday for the case of the rape of the 12-year-old girl, is expected to be brought to Anakritria in the morning after the prosecutor.
