The authorities ordered the pre-trial detention of the 37-year-old mother of the 12-year-old girl who was a victim of rape and pimping after her lengthy apology on Monday.
Upon hearing the joint decision of the prosecutor and the investigator, the 12-year-old’s mother started screaming, while her voices could be heard outside the room.
Mr. Lytras, the mother’s defense lawyer, stated after the decision to remand the 37-year-old, that the 12-year-old testified for the third time and stated that her mother knew nothing, while, as he pointed out, the decision was made with little evidence and hastily.
Regarding the accounts and the amounts deposited to the mother, Mrs. Tarahopoulou stated that they were not deposited by the 53-year-old, but by another person, whose name and surname are known to the authorities, but who has not been arrested.
