The unions request the withdrawal of the plan for the new Code of Private Maritime Law (PIL) and the signing of a collective bargaining agreement with real increases, as they emphasize in their joint statement.

There will be changes and modifications today, Tuesday, October 25, to the ferry schedule, due to the 24-hour pan-Piraean strike by the five member unions of the Panhellenic Maritime Federations (PENEN, PEMEN, PEATHEN, STEPHENSON and PEEMAGEN), from 00:01 to 24:00. At 5:30 in the morning the workers had a pre-gathering on Elektrikos (BLUE STAR ships), while at 11:00 in the morning there will be a strike gathering in Karaiskaki Square.

The strike concerns all ships that will be in the geographical area of ​​Piraeus and the coastal municipalities. Thus, arriving ships will be able to moor at the port of Piraeus, while sailing will not take place.

The unions request the withdrawal of the plan for him new Code of Private Maritime Law (KIND) and the signing of an FTA with real increases, as they emphasize in their joint statement.
“The seafaring unions PEMEN, STEPHENSON, PEEMAGEN, have decided on a 24-hour Pampirai strike, as well as the PENEN (Sailors), PEATHEN (Thalamipoloi) unions, demanding the withdrawal of the review – termination of the KIND, renewal and implementation of the SSE, with wage increases, against in accuracy and inflation”, they point out, among other things, in the announcement.
