Partial solar eclipse: Visible in Greece too – Where can we watch it?

In central Greece and Athens the duration of the eclipse will be approximately 2 hours and 15 minutes, with maximum coverage of 46% expected at 13:43. Accordingly, in Thessaloniki the partial eclipse will begin at 12:30, peak at 13:38 and end at 14:46.

The impressive phenomenon will start shortly after noon Tuesdaywhile the next one solar eclipse it will be visible from our country in five years.

Its maximum phase eclipse will be observed in central Russia and in western Siberia, with the Moon covering about 85% of the solar disk.

Observation of the partial solar eclipse from the Visitor Centers of the National Observatory of Athens

The Visitor Centers of Thisio and Penteli invite young and old to observe the partial solar eclipse that will be visible from our country tomorrow at noon 10/25/22.

The observation will take place live from the Visitor Center of Thision, with appropriate and vision-safe equipment, and online from the Visitor Center of Penteli, from where it will be broadcast live on the YouTube channel of IAADET.
