Tragedy in Thessaloniki: a 41-year-old man was found dead with a head injury next to his semi-unconscious father

A brutal crime took place on Wednesday afternoon in Menemeni, Thessaloniki. A 41-year-old man, a citizen of Armenia, was found dead with a head injury next to his semi-conscious father.

According to Thestival’s report, the murder took place at 19:00, in an apartment on the second floor of an apartment building on Omirou Street.

“I found my son dead and my husband unconscious,” the victim’s mother told Immediate Action.

In a few minutes the area was cordoned off by a strong police force.

An EKAV ambulance picked up the father to take him to the Papageorgiou hospital. The 41-year-old had already made up his mind. His shocked mother was asked to give a statement to the police.

The main suspect is the father

The case was taken over by the experienced police officers of the Crimes Against Life Department of the Thessaloniki Security Directorate. From the first moment, the father was considered the main suspect for committing the murder. The evidence collected by the police does not indicate the presence of a third person at the scene of the crime.

Neighbors reported that father and son had heated arguments almost every day for the past week. The police investigation continues. The cause of death of the 41-year-old man will emerge from the forensic examination.
