The barrage of pranks, which unknown people have been engaging in for the last few days, is a problem for EL.AS in Crete.
The beginning was made last Monday with phone calls that a bomb would explode in large supermarkets in Heraklion and Chania.
The same situation continued on Tuesday and yesterday Wednesday, with similar phone calls to the Archaeological Museum of Chania, and to well-known clothing stores on Diakiosini Avenue in Heraklion, to a cosmetics store and to a supermarket.
Someone calls from an unknown number to the business and a female voice is heard on a recorded message, which “warns” of the bomb explosion, mentioning a specific time, counting down.
A total of 14 businesses and public buildings were targeted by the unknown “pranksters” in 3 days. In all cases, the premises were evacuated and checked by the police.
The police are carefully examining the case, which is causing disruption and fear in businesses.
