OPAP and PAE AEK continue together

THE OPAP, the biggest supporter of Greek sports throughout time, and PAE AEK have officially announced their sponsorship partnership for the eighth consecutive season. The 2022-2023 season, in fact, is a milestone for both sides as it coincides with the most important step in the team’s modern history, its return to New Philadelphia and its entry into its impressive new home, OPAP Arena.

The let’s bet will continue to be the Major Sponsor of PAE AEK and the logo of the game will be displayed on the team’s official appearance. At the same time, the collaboration between OPAP and PAE AEK will focus, for one more season, on initiatives that promote both sporting ideals and the contribution to society.

The event for the continuation of the sponsorship cooperation of the two sides took place at the OPAP Arena, in the presence of the Management of OPAP and PAE AEK, the coaching staff and the players of the team.

The Deputy CEO of OPAP, Mr Odysseus Christoforou emphasized: “The cooperation between OPAP, the biggest supporter of Greek sports over time, and AEK continues for the eighth year. Our collaboration focuses on multiple levels and is considered one of the leading in the field of sports sponsorships in Greece. OPAP is the champion of social contribution and AEK actively participates in all the corporate social responsibility initiatives we implement.”

The Chief Operations Officer of OPAP, Mr Matthew Matthew said: “For all of us at OPAP, the OPAP Arena represents much more than just a sponsorship initiative. From the beginning, we knew how important AEK’s return to New Philadelphia is. That is why, after all, we participated with great enthusiasm in this great project. OPAP Arena has already developed into a destination that offers unique experiences – something that fits perfectly with our company’s goals and ambitions.”

The Managing Director and First Vice President of PAE AEK, Mr George Kosmas, underlined: “Our multi-faceted partnership with OPAP already counts seven consecutive seasons and is in its eighth, having faced many challenges and having recorded many successes, culminating in the recent opening of the OPAP Arena. OPAP is our most important strategic partner and actively supports us in all our endeavors, inside and outside the playing field.”

The coach of AEK, Mr Matias Almeida, said: “Although I have been in the team for a few months, I was able to understand very early on how important our collaboration with OPAP is. OPAP has made a significant contribution to sports and society and has left its mark at all levels. It is very important that a company of such size and importance is next to AEK”.

The leader of AEK, Mr Sergio Araujo, he said: “AEK’s biggest successes in recent years came with Pame Stoichima on our shirts. We hope that it will be our lucky charm for this season as well. I also know from personal experience that it is not only about the competition, but there are also important social initiatives that we have done together with OPAP in recent years”.
