by

The eleven arrested, members of the self-proclaimed group “Guardians of the Constitution”, who are accused of kidnapping the director of the Gymnasium of Aigini, Pieria, apologize to the Investigator of Katerini today.

They have been in custody since last Friday, when they were arrested, after they had previously immobilized the principal as he was entering the school. He was handcuffed and forcibly taken to a nearby police station.

Against them, the Prosecutor of the Court of First Instance of Katerini filed criminal charges for the crime of joint kidnapping, as well as for the misdemeanors of the gang, the disruption of the service and the violation of the measures to prevent infectious diseases. In addition, on a case-by-case basis, prosecution was instituted for simple bodily harm, breach of personal data and dissemination of false news (all to a degree of misdemeanor).

Among the accused are nine men and two women, while only three of them seem to have children attending the school complex, where the incident took place.
