EVA: Rain and storms across the country – Weather improving from Monday

Increased clouds with rain and thunderstorms are forecast across the country, due to severe weather EVA affecting the country, until tomorrow Monday.

The effects will be locally strong in the Ionian islands until noon, in the mainland (except Thrace) until the afternoon, in the Cyclades, western Crete and the Sporades from the morning, from the Samos-Ikaria region and further south from noon and in the Dodecanese from the early afternoon.

The winds will blow from south directions 5 to 6 and in the seas locally 7 Beaufort. Gradually in the west, central and north they will turn to north directions 4 to 5 and in the Ionian local 6 Beaufort.

The temperature will drop and its maximum value will not exceed 18 to 20 degrees on the mainland and 20 to 22 degrees Celsius on the islands.

MACEDONIA, THRACE

Weather: Clouds with rain and storms are forecast in Macedonia, locally strong in central Macedonia until the afternoon. In Thrace, few clouds are forecast which will quickly increase and there will be local rains and possibly isolated storms.

Winds: East southeast 4 to 6 Beaufort, in the evening they will turn to north directions 3 to 5 Beaufort.

Temperature: From 07 to 19 degrees Celsius. In western Macedonia it will be 3 to 4 degrees lower.

IONIAN ISLANDS, EPIROS, WESTERN Mainland, WESTERN PELOPONNISE

Weather: Cloudy with rain and storms. The effects will be intense in places in the Ionian until noon and in the rest of the areas until the afternoon. At night the phenomena will weaken.

Winds: Southeast 4 to 6 Beaufort, will gradually turn to North Northeast with the same intensity.

Temperature: From 12 to 20 degrees Celsius. In the interior of Epirus it will be 3 to 4 degrees lower.

THESSALIA, EASTERN CONTINENTA, EASTERN PELOPONNISUS

Weather: Cloudy with rain and storms. The effects until the afternoon will be intense in some places.

Winds: South southeast 5 to 6 and locally to the south 7 Beaufort, in the evening will turn to North Northeast 4 to 5 Beaufort.

Temperature: From 10 to 20 degrees Celsius.

CYCLADES, CRETE

Weather: Clouds with rain and storms locally strong initially in the west and gradually in the rest of the regions. The phenomena in western Crete will be intense in places.

Winds: From south directions 5 to 7 Beaufort with a slight weakening in the evening.

Temperature: From 16 to 22 degrees Celsius.

EAST AEGEAN ISLANDS – DODECANISE

Weather: A few clouds that will quickly increase and there will be showers and sporadic thunderstorms. The phenomena from the Samos-Ikaria region and further south from midday, as well as in the Dodecanese from the afternoon, will be intense in places.

Winds: Southeast 5 to 6 Beaufort, at night in the north they will turn to East 3 to 5 Beaufort.

Temperature: From 16 to 22 degrees Celsius. In the north 2 to 3 degrees lower.

EUBOEA

Weather: Cloudy with rain and storms, locally strong until the afternoon.

Winds: Southeast 5 to 6 Beaufort, in the evening they will turn to East 4 to 5 Beaufort.

Temperature: From 13 to 20 degrees Celsius.

ATTICA

Weather: Cloudy with rain and storms. The effects until the afternoon will be intense in some places.

Winds: Southeast 5 to 6 and temporarily 7 Beaufort, in the evening they will turn to East Northeast and weaken.

Temperature: From 16 to 19 degrees Celsius.

THESSALONIKI

Weather: Cloudy with rain and storms, which will be strong in places until the afternoon.

Winds: East southeast 4 to 5 Beaufort, in the evening they will turn to northerlies with the same intensity.

Temperature: From 13 to 18 degrees Celsius.

FORECAST TOMORROW MONDAY 07-11-2022

In Thessaly, the Sporades, eastern Sterea, Evia, the eastern Peloponnese, the Cyclades, Crete, the islands of the eastern Aegean and the Dodecanese, increased clouds with rain and storms are forecast. The effects, which in the morning hours are likely to be intense in the Dodecanese, will gradually weaken and be limited to the southeast. In the rest of the areas, few clouds temporarily increased.

Winds will blow from north directions 3 to 5 Beaufort, in the seas locally 6 and possibly in the Aegean locally 7 Beaufort.

The temperature will not change significantly and its maximum value will not exceed 18 to 20 degrees on the mainland and 20 to 22 degrees Celsius on the islands.
