A 38-year-old citizen who was committing robberies in the southern suburbs of Attica was arrested, in the context of the traffic stop, at noon on Tuesday, in Ilioupoli, by police officers of the Immediate Action (DI.AS. Team), while his accomplice has been identified and is being sought.
In particular, at noon on Tuesday, the accused committed successive robberies in two kiosks in the area of ​​Ilioupoli in a short period of time, escaping on his own motorcycle.
After searches, the above police officers located the accused moving on the aforementioned motorcycle in Argyroupoli, stopped him and took him to the Ilioupoli Security Department, where he was identified as the perpetrator of the above robberies and arrested.
A sum of money was found in his possession, which he had removed earlier and was given to the sick booth attendant. Also, the motorcycle used to commit the robberies was confiscated.
From the preliminary investigation of the Ilioupoli Security Department, additional -2- cases of robberies at kiosks in Alimos and Ilioupoli were discovered.
The arrested person has been charged in the past with violating the Substance Abuse and Domestic Violence Act.
The arrested person was taken to the Criminal Prosecutor of Athens.
