Perhaps her best-known role was that of “Vicky”, the girlfriend of “Alekos Samiotakis” (Alekos Alexandrakis) in the unforgettable Finos Films comedy “Miss Director”.

The beloved actress of the old Greek cinema, Nitsa Marouda, passed away today at the age of 87.

Nitsa (Eleni) Marouda always played secondary roles – mainly the Nazi and naive blonde girl – but these were loved by the general public and made her famous.

Perhaps her best-known role was that of “Vicky”, the girlfriend of “Alekos Samiotakis” (Alekos Alexandrakis) in the unforgettable Finos Films comedy “Miss Director”, with Jenny Karezi.

The line “Aleco my gold please” and “do you want a bergamot?” – chow!’ is one of the film’s most classic – albeit the second one-liner.

In the movie “The little man” with Costas Voutsa and Martha Karagiannis, she again played the role of the cute blonde “Loulukas”

The remark of the “customer” in the fabric shop of “Evtychis Kopeoglou”, “I want some soft fabrics, take them all down, I want you to take them all down for me” causes even today effortless laughter.

Also typical is the role of the maid “Filios” in the comedy “A Crazy Crazy Family”, again with Karezis and Alexandrakis.

Although most of her roles were comedies, Nitsa Marouda also played in dramas such as “Kateforos”.

The actress married Simeon Kolokotas, while her daughter Ioanna is the wife of politician and former minister Vangelis Meimarakis.
