An impressive large-scale firefighting and rescue exercise was carried out last night by the Fire Brigade in the Vrilissi tunnel of the Attica Road.
In particular, firefighters from the 1st and 2nd Fire Brigades of Athens worked at the scene, as an exercise, with the participation of the Attica Routes, the Attica Traffic Directorate and the EKAB.

In order to carry out the exercise, there was a complete stop to vehicle traffic yesterday Wednesday (9/11) at 11:00 PM until Thursday (10/11) at 05:00 AM in parts of the road axis of Attica Road in the area of Chalandriou.

In particular, the traffic arrangements were made at the following points of Attica Road:
– Vrilission Tunnel, in the traffic flow towards Elefsina.
-Plakentia entrance branch (junction 13), in the traffic flow towards Elefsina.
-Entry branch from DPLY, in the traffic flow towards Elefsina.
During the above interruptions, traffic was diverted:
-At the Penteli exit (Junction 12) and through Attikis Street (Vrilission Park, above the tunnel), re-enter the traffic stream towards Elefsina of the Attikis Road, from the Penteli toll station to the west.
