Thessaloniki’s pink honey macaroons are viral – How are they made?

A pastry shop in Thessaloniki has already put out Christmas sweets in its window in multiple flavors and different colors… Cookies, honey macaroons with strawberry flavor, white, milk and bitter chocolate.

Already the… pink honey macaroons (strawberry) have made a difference, surprising customers, who rush to try them.

“In addition to the traditional ones, we also have pink honey macaroons at the bakery, which we are bringing to our store for the first time. The coating on the pink melomakaroni is made of white chocolate and pastry color, while the recipe for making the melomakarono remains the same. Even though today is the first day we took them out of the oven, people have gone crazy and are already buying them! Their price ranges from 13.90 euros per kilo, just like the rest of the honey macaroons coated with white and milk chocolate”, the owner of the pastry shop tells GRTimes.
