Ministry of Immigration: Informed NGOs about the new online platform for registering asylum seekers

Mr. Logothetis “presented the official data from the operation of the electronic platform to date” while asking the representatives of the NGOs “to encourage the applicants to come to the scheduled appointments, so that the procedures for their registration and subsequent processing of grant applications can be completed faster asylum,” the ministry’s statement says.

Regarding the new electronic registration platform for asylum seekers who are in Greece, the general secretary of Asylum Reception, Manos Logothetis, informed representatives of non-governmental organizations (NGOs) active in the immigration-refugee sector, according to a related announcement.

Mr. Logothetis “presented the official data from the operation of the electronic platform to date” while asking the representatives of the NGOs “to encourage the applicants to come to the scheduled appointments, so that the procedures for their registration and subsequent processing of grant applications can be completed faster asylum,” the ministry’s statement says.

The meeting was also attended by representatives from the European Commission, the European Asylum Support Service, the International Organization for Migration, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, the Athens Bar Association, the Director of the Reception and Identification Service, Tassos Madagaris and the Director of the Asylum Service, Marios Kaleas.
