“They raped me in houses and cars blindfolded”: Horror for a 29-year-old woman in Ilia

The horror he experienced for two whole years is shocking a 29-year-old girl from Ilia, which had given itself over to the sick appetites of a group of men.

“They forced me and I went with 9-10 people at night and 2-3 people came together. This was done for 1-2 years, every night. I was telling them I didn’t want to go. They also took me to houses and other cars in various villages around… I couldn’t see where I was going, because they had blindfolded me… They tied my hands and feet and I didn’t even know what they were doing to me… In 2016 these. They wore hoods and gloves so I couldn’t see them. I didn’t know them at all.” With these words, the now 29-year-old woman describes in the “PATRIS” newspaper what she experienced as a martyr for two whole years surrendered to the appetites of men who exploited her body.

The 29-year-old, who comes from and lives in a village in the mountainous Ilia, is a victim of our sick society. A society that often deals with people in relentless pain… People next door who no one knows what can happen to them in their daily life and crush them psychologically.

In the midst of the blackness of her life, the 29-year-old tries to find her hope and orientation, which will lead her to a calm, nightmare-free life… A life far from the… torturous things she has lived until now.

She was drugged

The newspaper “PATRIS” was in the woman’s village, met her and revealed what… she tries to forget today… As she confided in us, she was given narcotic pills and forced into dark paths.

“I didn’t get paid when I was with the men. They drugged me to be with them… I didn’t see what pills they were, they put them in my drink.”

She cries for her child

The 29-year-old woman became pregnant during one of her encounters. Even today, she does not know who the father of the child is… As for her little boy, his… fate is unknown since the hospital where he gave birth in Athens, they never gave him to her.

“I had a boy, I saw him all the time when he was in the hospital but he was taken away from me. I miss my child, I feel sad and cry because I don’t have him with me. I understand why they didn’t give it to me. I don’t know who the father of the child is. I’ve had a hard time, I’ve been through a lot and I don’t want to step on it again.”

New start

What the 29-year-old is asking for today is to be able to stand on her own two feet, leave behind life in the village and open a new page in her life, away from all that made her…suffer for years.

“I want to leave, I can’t stand the village anymore. I am asking for a better life and a job. I want to finish school, get my diploma and leave.”

However, she, her siblings and her father live in poor conditions in a room that has been granted to them by the municipality, after their house was destroyed. In fact, all actions were taken by the president in order to find a solution so that they could live with some dignity for the rest of their lives.

“In the village they cursed me, they didn’t bother me with anything. The president was helping me. Our house was old when it rained it dripped inside, they tore it down. They brought us a solution but it needs work to be fixed.”

Some people who spoke to “PATRIS” and wished to remain anonymous, confirm what happened to the 29-year-old woman at least six years ago, however they said that it is very likely that it was done against her will.

The police

At the same time, police sources told “P” that regarding the incidents involving her being forced into sexual acts that no official complaint has been made or indictment in order to start the pre-investigation process and the formation of a case file.
