Golden Dawn trial: The defense again requested the summons of Fyssa’s partner – New tension with Lagos

by

The presence of Yannis Lagos and his protests once again raised the tone

With a request for specific actions by the court, so that the woman in whose arms Pavlos Fyssas cooled down could be identified and summoned to testify, the defendants’ defense attorneys came back and raised other issues in court.

His presence John Lagou and his protests raised their voices once again, as the imprisoned MEP raised the issue of subpoenaing a certain police officer who coordinated, on the night of the murder, the police operation.

In making the request, the president asked Lagos not to “make a fuss”, a phrase that angered the MEP who said: “I feel insulted by the process. The trial is premeditated and the decision has been made.”

Chairman: Do you have a question?

Hare: Do you have an answer? Long live your democracy! You won’t have an easy time like the first time. I will disgrace your court. Everything will be heard.

After what Lagos said, he was led out of the room again by order of the president, with someone from the audience shouting at him as he headed for the exit, “be patient Giannare”.

The lawyer of the imprisoned MEP Kostas Pleuris, taking the floor, expressed a complaint that the court “deprives him of his defense rights” and that during the examination of the musician’s mother, he was forbidden to ask some questions.

Chairman: Are you applying for an exemption for me?

Side: No. I express my complaint

The defense requested that the address of Pavlos Fyssa’s partner, who has not testified even in the first trial as she is of unknown residence, be identified through AADE.

The prosecutor requested that the request be rejected citing a violation of tax confidentiality. However, the defense came back asking for a court request to be sent to the tax authority to provide the woman’s address without any other information.

At the same time, the defense asked for the confidentiality of the communications of Pavlos Fyssas’s friends to be lifted, so that, as the advocates say, the calls made on the night in question could be identified. According to the advocates, while the fight was going on, “something happened in the cafeteria” that forced Fyssa, his girlfriend and another person who was with them “to invite other people to the store to gain superiority.”

The request was made after the statements of the owners of the cafe, who said that Fyssas and two other people were in the shop that night and that nothing happened inside the place.

The trial will continue on November 23.
