As 48-year-old Johnny Irwin revealed, he does not know how long he has left to live and is sad that his children will grow up without their dad.
Jonny Irwin, 48, presenter of Channel 4’s A Place in the Sun and BBC’s Escape to the Country, has revealed in an emotional interview that he is dying of cancer and has decided to share it with the world to encourage people to live to the fullest and to enjoy every day.
As Irwin revealed to Hello magazine, he was initially diagnosed two years ago with lung cancer, but it has spread to his brain and now he doesn’t know how long he has left to live.
“The cancer is in its final stage, the doctors say. In 2020, when I was first diagnosed, they “gave” me six months but I’m still here. But at some point (the cancer) will finally catch up with me,” said the 48-year-old presenter.
“But now I want to make plans. I want to create memories and capture these moments with my family because the reality is that my boys (2 and 3 years old) will grow up not knowing their dad and that breaks my heart,” Irwin confessed in his emotional interview.
