The 33-year-old’s husband took the woman to the hospital by taxi, while, according to reliable sources, she had already been a covid19 patient for a week.
An unimaginable tragedy that can hardly be contained by the human mind unfolded yesterday at midnight in the forecourt of the Venizeli hospital.
According to information from cretapost.gr, everything happened a few minutes after 12:00 on Friday morning when all the staff on duty at the hospital were put on alert.
The husband of a 33-year-old woman took his wife by taxi to the hospital when, according to secure sources, she had already been a covid19 patient for a week. The doctors immediately rushed to the taxi and performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and intubation on the 33-year-old, but it was already too late.
“For 40 minutes, the doctors fought to bring the young woman back, but she probably had already ended up in the taxi before she reached Venizelio”, the doctor and Deputy Director of the hospital, Mrs. Eleftheria Kostakis, reports to cretapost.
Reliable sources say that the woman was already unconscious when the taxi arrived at the hospital while doctors fought their own battle on the spot to buy precious time. Now the forensic report is expected to shed light on the causes that caused the death of the unfortunate 33-year-old, i.e. if it was a complication of covid19 or if she was suffering from cardiac problems of which she may not have been aware.
