The mother who was riding in one of the two vehicles was seriously injured
A serious traffic accident occurred at noon on Saturday at the junction of Vasileos Georgiou Avenue and September 3rd, in Thessaloniki.
According to thestival.gr, two vehicles collided head-on with the result that they ended up on top of parked vehicles. One vehicle was moving on the 3rd of September in the direction of the beach and the second was moving on the rise of the 3rd of September and attempted to turn towards HANTH.
In one vehicle there was one person while in the second a family of four.
All five occupants of the vehicles were injured in the collision. The four injured were picked up by EKAV ambulances and taken to the “Papanikolaou” hospital. These are the three family members and the driver who was in the second vehicle. The mother of the family is seriously injured, with broken bones. Her two minor children were also taken to the hospital.
A Traffic Squad was at the scene to deal with the incident while police officers from the “Z” team rushed to the scene to regulate traffic and facilitate the movement of vehicles.
