The Kordelio Evosmos Chess Association, in order to attract as many young chess players as possible to the sport, used the now famous photo of the two football players playing chess
It’s probably the most talked about photo to come out lately and it shows Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo facing off not on the field, as we would expect, but in a game of chess.
This photo, which went viral on social media, was used by the Kordelios Evosmos Chess Association in order to attract as many young chess players as possible to the sport, inviting its two new members, as it jokingly calls the two world football stars, “to come to arrange their assistance and leave the excuses that they are missing in Qatar!”.

It is one of the efforts of the specific Chess Association for extroversion, as in the previous period there had been other kinds of actions to spread the sport. Among them, central points of Evosmos and Cordelios were turned into huge open chessboards with large pawns, where young and old learned all the “secrets” of kings, officers, rooks and ordinary soldiers.
With each such effort, the officials of the Association see the number of young chess players doubling and in this context they are determined to continue them.
