The pair of burglars, according to the investigation of the Larissa Security Directorate, he lived in Athens and whether they were going to Bulgaria or returning to Athens, they parked their large displacement car in the parking lot of a chain store at the intersection of Karamanli Avenue and Volou Street.

Then, on foot, in the afternoon hours, they moved in the surrounding districts, succeeding in the first two months of 2019 to break into (the 23-year-old woman is estimated to be a shop assistant) 25 apartments in the areas of OSE, ATA and Anthoupoli, seizing, according to EL .AS., cash which in total amounted to 5,270 euros, while the value of the stolen gold jewelry was estimated to be 70,000 euros.

The thefts from their homes were described the day before yesterday with their statements by several Larisa victims – victims of the burglars, stating that money and jewelry were stolen from them, some of which had more emotional value, as they were family heirlooms or gifts to their children. Among the victims was Larisaia, who described how she was absent from her house for half an hour and when she returned, the burglar “was inside, I tried to enter my house and he was blocking me” by holding the door. This particular Larisaia, unlike other victims, was lucky, since her stolen jewelry was returned, as “he wore them” the 23-year-old accomplice of the burglar when they were arrested betraying their action.

The one that the 32-year-old, after climbed onto a 3rd floor balcony, entered the apartment through the bathroom window while the tenant was at home. In one case, the 32-year-old climbed up from the parking lot canopy to a 1st floor apartment, while in another case he climbed up to the 1st floor by stepping on a pallet of firewood. Usually though he used the natural gas piping and climbed onto the balconieswhere he broke balcony doors with a screwdriver.

The pair of burglars was arrested on March 5, 2019 on Palaiologou Street, in the area of ​​OSE and as testified the day before yesterday by a police officer of the Larissa Security Sub-Directorate, noting that burglary tools were found in the possession of the 32-year-old man, while the 23-year-old woman was found to be wearing Larissa gold jewelry that had been stolen in the previous days, adding that after their arrest stopped burglaries in Larissa with this methodology.

The district attorney described the “very serious actions” of the burglars, suggesting the guilt of the 32-year-old for the 4 thefts that were proven during the hearing and his acquittal “due to doubt” for the remaining thefts.

The 32-year-old did not appear, but was represented, with his lawyer asking for his release, causing the reactions of the victims present. The 32-year-old was found guilty of the 4 burglaries by a majority (2-1) decision (with one judge dissenting who asked that he be found guilty of all burglaries) and was sentenced to 2 years in prison, commutable to a fine. It is noted that at first instance the two perpetrators were found guilty with a prison sentence of 3 years, a sentence that was imposed without suspension.
