Despite the fact that the electricity and water supply to the building in question had been cut off by the Municipality of Thermi, it was found that there was illegal electricity and water supply.
An operation was completed, in the presence of a judicial officer, in a building owned by him Municipality of Thermiwhich has been occupied (Mundo Nuevo) since 2015 on Siatistis Street in the city center.
In the operation that took place in the morning hours today Monday and was organized by the Directorate of Security of Thessaloniki, in which police officers of the Sub-Directorate of State Security and the Sub-Directorate of Special Operational Forces of the aforementioned Directorate, the Sub-Directorate of Special Police Forces of Northern Greece, the Directorates of Police Operations, Direct Action participated , of the Police, Foreigners and Traffic of Thessaloniki, of the EKAM, of the Sub-Directorate of Criminal Investigations of Northern Greece and which was assisted by elements of the E.Y.A.Th. and of D.E.D.D.H.E., were found on the premises of the building and seized:
(96) poles,
(27) helmets,
(38) anti-suffocation masks and (22) filters,
(44) banners and printed material, as well as
torch, electronic computers, etc.
It is noted that, despite the fact that the electricity and water supply to the said building had been interrupted by the Municipality of Thermi, it was found that there was illegal electricity and water supply.
A total of 8 people were brought in, of which 4 were arrested and a case file is being filed against them by the State Security Sub-Directorate of the Thessaloniki Security Directorate, which is conducting the preliminary investigation.
