A 20-year-old Albanian and a 21-year-old Greek are, according to an announcement by ELAS, the perpetrators of the two burglaries-thefts that took place with the same method of action at the La vie en Rose cosmetics store of Dimitra Katsafados in Peristeri on 31/8/22 and on 12/ 9/22.

According to ELAS, the defendants had targeted the valuable goods of the specific store before carrying out the robberies and had ensured their resale

A case file has been filed against them for aggravated theft by conspiracy by persons who have joined together to commit theft.

How did they act?

Regarding their method of action, the two young men, having taken all the necessary precautionary measures in order not to be noticed, broke the glass entrance door and after gaining access to the interior of the shop with quick movements removed the products, which they placed in nylon packaging for their easy transport.

The perpetrators chose to rob the store both times in the early hours of the morning, when there was not much traffic on the streets and the lighting was dimmed. Also, there was an accomplice at the scene who performed the duties of a waiter.

From the searches of their homes, packaging of products that were taken from the store and clothing that had been used during the commission of the robberies were found and confiscated.

As mentioned in the announcement, the defendants have been arrested in the past for attempted murder, arson, theft, violence against employees and violation of the legislation on weapons, drugs and flares-fireworks. The searches for their arrest and the investigation to ascertain the scope of their actions continue.
