According to what was reported by grandmother hosted in the structure of the Ark, her granddaughter has received physical violence as – as the complainant says – “the child has been through a lot in there. They grabbed it by the neck because it wouldn’t turn off the light.”
She also claimed that neither she nor her father and mother allow her to speak with her granddaughter and that she fears for her health. “I’m constantly communicating, here at the Ark in Central but they don’t give me the child to talk to. I haven’t seen it up close, give it a hug. I have a child, I have a grandchild. Unfortunately, they cut us off,” he said characteristically.
“They grabbed it by the throat. Her fingers stayed up and we told her to take pictures of them. The child called us from school, secretly, from another little girl. She called her dad because they are not allowed to have phones. Dad says she went to strangle me yesterday, she put both her hands around my neck and her fingers stayed on my neck, because I didn’t turn off the light I wanted to read. The children are fed one rice, one soup, one tea. Grandma tells me we drink 50 children a sachet. I fear for my child’s health. Neither her mother nor her father can see her.
They kept changing the social worker. The one who was working in there recently was the most awful woman. He never gave us the child (to talk). I have not heard that my child is well. Finally, the complainant asserted that she does not know exactly in which structure her grandson is accommodated and that “they don’t tell us, we know that he is accommodated in an old factory that was converted into a structure”.
