According to his announcement, on a 24-hour basis and for as long as the very low temperatures prevail, the Cultural Center of Grava will be open where the homeless can receive ready meals, blankets and whatever else they need from the staff of the Municipality. They will undergo a RapidTest before entering the site.
Also in the Dormitory of the Multipurpose Homeless Center the homeless can find a warm bed at night, but also stay all day. And there, when citizens enter the area, rapid tests will be performed. At the same time, teams of the “Street Work” of the Municipality will be on the streets of the city 24 hours a day in order to locate the homeless and offer them hot drinks, food and blankets. In addition, they will be informed about the available heated spaces. The call center of the Reception and Solidarity Center of the Municipality of Athens (210-5246515-6) is also operational 24 hours a day, in order to receive telephone reports from citizens about places where there are homeless people who need help.
