Larissa: They broke into a high school – “Lifted” a safe with the money from the trip

by

The amount they removed amounts to 8,000 euros – The students were planning a five-day trip to Rome

The thieves who last night proved to be “read”. broke into the 6th Lyceum of Larissa, removing only the safe which, among other things – according to “Eleftheria” information – contained the sum of money that the students of the 3rd Lyceum had collected for their customary five-day excursion next Monday, bound for Rome.

According to the same information, the perpetrators went to the high school principal’s office and without looking elsewhere, they went to the cupboard where the safe was located, which they stole.

The theft the management of the school reported yesterday morning to the Larissa Security Sub-Directorate, while the subject also occupied yesterday’s meeting of the Teachers’ Association, given that the school was broken into again by unknown persons last October, causing damage unlike yesterday’s burglary where the thieves did not search and disturb any other premises, except the cupboard, in which the relatively small safe was located.

According to information, the perpetrators first broke down the door of the school’s gymnasium and by breaching the internal entrance, entered the school’s main building.

On reaching the manager’s office they breached the adjoining entrance, to proceed directly to the cupboard where the small safe was kept with which they escaped without searching other premises or removing any other articles or causing damage, as had happened in a previous burglary. A fact that strengthens the assessment that the perpetrators knew the contents of the safe, but also the position it was kept in, since they did not open any other office but only the specific cabinet.

It is noted that the safe, in addition to the five-day money, contained money for a trip for other classes in the run-up to Christmas, as well as school documents. According to the first calculations, the amount of money removed by the perpetrators amounted to approximately 8,000 euros. The perpetrators of the theft are being sought by the Larissa Security Directorate, which is investigating the case.
