He is being buried at ten o’clock in the morning today 16-year-old Kostas Frangoulis, who finally died after being injured by a 34-year-old policeman’s bullet during a chase in Thessaloniki.
His body has been since yesterday at the family’s home, in the settlement of Agia Sofia, where a large number of Roma have flocked to sympathize with the family and to attend the funeral that will be held by the holy temple of the Pantheon of the Great Brigades in the cemeteries of Evosmos.
At the same time, the heads of Roma organizations appeal for calmness and not to repeat the incidents of the previous days, while the deadline for the decision to pre-trial detention or not for the 34-year-old police officer who fired the fatal bullet is approaching. The decision will be made by the competent judicial council of Thessaloniki, while after the death of the 16-year-old it is expected that a new prosecution will be brought against the police officer.
