The Municipality of Oropos will host on Saturday 17 December 2022 at 17:00 and on Sunday 18 December at 11:30 a great international event of the new Olympic sports of CHEERLEADING and BREAKING.
The international meeting will be held at the Avlona Gymnasium.
The Hellenic Cheerleading Federation, the sports association ALMA OROPOU and the Secondary School Committee of the Municipality of Oropou invite all children, girls and boys, to get to know the new Olympic Sports up close.
On Saturday December 17 at 17:00 there will be a presentation of the sports and then all the students will learn choreographies (cheer pom, cheer hip-hop, cheer jazz, breaking) which they will present.
On Sunday at 11:30 the official competitions will take place where the top female and male athletes in all events will compete.
The sport of cheerleading received the most important recognition from the International Olympic Committee, full Olympic recognition during the 138th meeting of the Olympic Committee, held July 20-21, 2021 in Tokyo.
