The official opening of the Omonoia Christmas Market took place in the afternoon, with the opening of the Christmas market by the mayor of Athens, Kostas Bakoyannis, who stated: “Omonoia is back. Who would have thought it? Who would have dared to imagine three, four, five years ago that we would all meet together to celebrate Christmas in Omonia? The road has been opened with the reconstruction. A path we all walk together. And I want to say a very big thank you to everyone who supports us, to everyone who helps us, to everyone we work with. And of course also to Brown Hotels, but to Mr. Hondo who kept Omonia standing during the difficult days. May all of you be well. Let’s be happy our children. Merry Christmas”.
