In the reference week, 47,497 cases of COVID-19 were recorded (4,553 per million population: -9% weekly change) of which reinfections account for 30% of infections.

The total number of infections since the beginning of the pandemic amounts to 5,548,487 of which 52.2% are women.

𝑅𝑡 for the territory based on cases is estimated at 0.86 (95% CI: 0.73 – 0.94).

The total number of admissions to the territory’s hospitals in the reference week was 1,343 patients (7-day period: 192, -6% weekly change), while the total discharges amounted to 1,200 patients (7-day period: 171, 13 % weekly change).

The number of intubated patients by the end of the reporting week is 104 (60.6% men) with a median age of 77 years and 98.1% having an underlying disease and/or age of 70 years or older.

In the reporting week, 150 deaths of COVID-19 patients were recorded (14 per million population: 8% weekly change) of which 17 (11%) died after at least 29 days from the date of laboratory confirmation of the COVID-19 infection, while from since the start of the epidemic, a total of 34,779 deaths have been recorded, with 96.2% having an underlying disease and/or age 70 years or older.
