The father saw the bruised baby and immediately called the doctors
During the pregnancy, everything seemed to be going perfectly with constant follow-ups by the doctors.
Before the birth, the couple, for their own reasons, mentioned the possibility that the birth would take place in a different city, nevertheless they made sure that there would be no risk. Indeed, the birth went smoothly, the comments were highly optimistic but two hours later the situation was reversed.
The father saw the bruised baby and immediately called the doctors. Three hours after the birth, the infant was in an ambulance to the hospital of Agios Andreas in Patras, where the doctors received him “in a miserable condition”, as they said and as the family claims.
He was intubated for seven days, until December 15th. Since then the infant has been breathing on its own.
His condition is described as stable, tests will continue for his health, with the anxiety of his own people remaining great.
The child’s mother goes back and forth to Patras for breast milk, while the baby’s father is by her side, waiting to take their baby home.
