There will be changes to the Athens public transport routes
There will be changes in the timetables of Athens’ public transport, as every year, on Christmas, New Year’s and Epiphany days.
Detailed itineraries:
Buses – Trolleybuses
According to an update from OASA, during the holidays of December 25 and 26, 2022 as well as January 1 and 6, 2023, the Buses and Trolleys will operate on Sunday and public holidays routes. On Monday, January 2, 2023, an extraordinary routing program will be applied to OSY buses and trolleys .
According to an announcement by the OASA Workers Union, on Saturday 31 December 2022, the Buses will be at the stations until 23:00. Therefore the last routes will start from the departure points between 21:00-22:00. Airport Express buses will run non-stop throughout the evening.

Metro Line 1 (ISAP)
In the following days, special itineraries for the ISAP line will apply as follows:
* Saturday 24 December, Sunday 25 December, Monday 26 December 2022: Between 5:30 – 23:30 the routes every 10.5′ while the rest of the hours every 15′.
* Saturday 31 December 2022: Between 5:30 – 23:00 the routes every 10.5′. The services will stop around 23:00.
* Sunday January 1, 2023: Between 5:30 – 23:30 itineraries every 10.5′ and the rest of the hours every 15′
* Monday January 2, 2023: Between 5:30 – 22:30 itineraries every 7.5′ and the rest of the hours every 11.5′ – 15′
* Friday 6 January 2023: Between 5:30 – 23:30 itineraries every 10.5′ and the rest of the hours every 15′
Line 2 Metro
The routes on line 2 of the Metro in the following days:
*Saturday 24 December 2022: Routes every 7′ between 9:00 – 17:00 and every 10′ the rest of the hours (every 15′ between 00:20 – 1:30 during extended hours)
* Sunday 25 December, Monday 26 December 2022: Routes every 7′ between 9:00 – 17:00 and every 10′ at other times
* Saturday 31 December 2022: Routes every 7′ between 9:00 – 17:00 and every 10′ during the rest of the hours. The services will stop around 23:00.
* Sunday January 1, 2023: Routes every 7′ between 9:00 – 17:00 and every 10′ at other times
* Monday January 2, 2023: Routes every 5′ between 6:00 – 17:30, every 6′ between 17:30-20:30, every 7′ between 20:30-22:00 and every 10′ the rest of the time
*Friday 6 January 2023: Routes every 7′ between 9:00 – 17:00 and every 10′ during the rest of the hours (every 15′ between 00:20 – 1:30 during extended hours).
Line 3 Metro
Routes on Metro line 3 will be as follows:
* Saturday 24 December 2022: Routes every 7′ between 9:00 – 17:00 and every 9′ during the rest of the hours (every 15′ between 00:20 – 1:30 during extended hours)
*Sunday December 25, Monday December 26, 2022: Routes every 7′ between 9:00 – 17:00 and every 9′ at other times
*Saturday 31 December 2022: Routes every 7′ between 9:00 – 17:00 and every 9′ at other times. The services will stop around 23:00.
*Sunday 1 January 2023: Routes every 7′ between 9:00 – 17:00 and every 9′ at other times
*Monday 2 January 2023: Routes every 5′ between 6:00 – 17:30, every 6′ between 17:30-20:00, every 7′ between 20:00-22:00 and every 9′ the rest of the time
*Friday 6 January 2023: Routes every 7′ between 9:00 – 17:00 and every 9′ during the rest of the hours (every 15′ between 00:20 – 1:30 during extended hours).
The Airport routes will not change during the above days, only on New Year’s Eve they will be completed earlier.

Tram route frequencies on holidays:
*Saturday 24 December 2022: Services every 12′ until 22:00, every 15′ between 22:00 – 00:30 and every 25′ between 00:30 – 1:40 during extended hours
*Sunday 25 December, Monday 26 December 2022: Routes every 12′ until 22:00, every 15′ after 22:00
*Saturday 31 December 2022: Schedules every 12′ until 22:00, every 15′ after 22:00. The services will stop around 23:00.
*Sunday January 1, 2023: Routes every 12′ until 22:00, every 15′ after 22:00.
*Monday 2 January 2023: Services every 10′ between 7:00 – 19:00, every 12′ the rest of the hours until 22:00 and every 15′ after 22:00
*Friday 6 January 2023: Services every 12′ from 5:30 – 22:00, every 15′ between 22:00 – 00:30 and every 25′ between 00:30 – 1:40 during extended hours.
