Specifically, a reindeer walks along the house, stops, shakes its body, just like a dog does when it wants to dry off from water, and then a sound is heard.

The horns fall from his head.

The animal, apparently startled by the noise and the sense of what has happened to it, then runs away at “lightning speed”.

and the noise of it losing its horns as it sped away.

Reindeer are found in Scandinavia (including Iceland), European Russia, Spitsbergen and elsewhere, northern Russia including Novaya Zemlya, Asian Russia, North America, Greenland, Canada and Alaska.

Domesticated reindeer are found mainly in northern Scandinavia and Russia, and wild reindeer mainly in North America, Greenland and Iceland.

The weight of the female varies between 60 and 170 kg.

In some reindeer subspecies the male is slightly larger. In others, the male can reach up to 300 kg.

Both sexes develop horns, which (for the Scandinavian variety) fall in old males in December, in young males in spring, and in females in summer.
