Crete: Twelve arrests in Heraklion and Rethymno for dice

The arrests took place during the night in Heraklion and Rethymno

Twelve arrestseleven men and one woman, for participating in illegal games were carried out in Heraklion and Rethymno during police checks.

Specifically, during the inspection of a health care store in Rethymnon yesterday, Wednesday after midnight, it was found that the manager of the business had allowed five people to play dice.

In a check carried out on the arrested persons and in the premises of the store, the sum of 1,610 euros and four pairs of dice were found and confiscated.

A few hours apart, to another company of the police in a health care store, it was found that a man, as temporary manager of the business, had allowed five people to play “dice” while he was also participating. During the control that was carried out on the arrested and in a search that was carried out in the premises of the store, the amount of money of 8,630 euros and a pair of dice were found and confiscated.

The preliminary investigation is carried out by the Rethymnon and Heraklion Security Sub-Directorates, respectively.
