The Archbishop of America notes that “we do not need to become monks or ascetics to follow the path of theosis”

The wish “that the new year will be filled with unique moments of transformation by the grace and love of God, so that we share the abundance of this love with the world around us as buildings in the likeness of our Creator”, expresses the Archbishop of America Hopeful in his circular for 2023.

The Archbishop of America notes that “we do not need to become monks or ascetics to follow the path of theosis”. Because, as he emphasizes, “at every moment, always, with every person we meet, there are opportunities to act as God would act, to speak as God would speak, and to love as God loves”.

Archbishop Elpidophoros invites all “to be inspired today, on the first day of the new year, by the bright Hierarch of Cappadocia and Teacher of the Universe, Basil the Great, Archbishop of Caesarea, and his legacy that strengthens the Church’s position on what it just means man”.
