Unknown attackers entered the temple through the window of its sanctuary and caused significant damage
It seems that the audacity of some perpetrators often exceeds all limits, a fact proven by the burglary that took place yesterday morning, on Epiphany, in the chapel of Agios Ioannou in the Komi settlement of the municipality of Andravida Kyllini.
As it became known, unknown perpetrators entered the temple through the window of its sanctuary and caused significant damage to all the objects they found in front of them. However, they did not stop only at the damages and continued with the removal of the recording material.
From the control that took place, it was established that there was no loss of money or anything else, while the police were also notified with the markings to arrive at the scene immediately in order to thoroughly check the area for fingerprints and anything else that could lead to the arrest of the perpetrators.
It is worth noting that this is not the first time that the temple has been the target of a burglary, since in the past there were several times when again unknown perpetrators had caused significant damage.
Regarding the restoration of the damages, the mayor of Andravidas-Kyllini immediately expressed his intention to cover the amount required to restore the chapel to its former state.
