A 35-year-old man from Egypt was arrested, as part of the spontaneous procedure, yesterday Monday, in the area of ​​Agios Panteleimon, by police officers of the local Security Department, accused of kidnapping, rape and theft.
In particular, according to ELAS, the 35-year-old man is accused of abducting and illegally detaining a 32-year-old woman from Bulgaria in his house, during the period from January 6 to 9, 2023, forcing her to commit sexual acts with the threat of endangering the lives of her children.
The 32-year-old managed to get out of the house and immediately after went to the Security Department of Panteleimon, where she filed a complaint.
Police officers identified the accused and after searches in the wider area, located him and arrested him, while they also found the victim’s identity card, which he had stolen, on him.
The arrested person is taken to the criminal prosecutor of Athens.
